Course summary

This course is a beginners course which is for everyone and for every ‘body’.

You don’t need to be flexible or strong to start.

In this course you will receive a brief introduction to what yoga is as well as some breathing techniques to practice on and off the mat. There will be an in-depth explanation of numerous poses in lessons 3,4 and 5 which focuses on different themes including sun salutations, standing poses and balancing poses.

Your learning material will consist of:

  • 5 x 5 minute HD videos (one video for each of the lessons)
  • 5 beautifully designed handouts for each lesson with pictures, step by step instructions, techniques and tips

Module outline

An introduction to yoga, the benefits of yoga, the 8 limbs of yoga and types of yoga.

An introduction to 3 breathing techniques which can be used on and off the mat.

A step by step guide to creating a vinyasa flow which is the series of movements used between poses in Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Power Yoga.

Learn the 4 warrior poses and become a warrior instead of a worrier.

Learn 5 balancing poses that stretch, strengthen and naturally draw the wandering mind inward.
